Terry Bozzio is an American drummer, born in California, and well known for having performed with the likes of Frank Zappa. Bozzio began playing at the early age of of 6 years old, where he played makeshift drum sets. After seeing a performance by The Beatles at the age of 13, he went on to have drumming lessons after begging his father.

We have a confession to make. While we think Stephen Sondheim is a genius - without question - we find his body of work to be hit or miss.

Some of his musicals are epic and timeless classics. While we find some others difficult to sit through. That was the case with our last Sondheim experience, when we saw the awful revival of Company on Broadway. We loved Raul Esparza in that revival, but we did not like the production - nor are we a fan of the show.

We'd never seen Follies before, so we weren't quite sure what to expect when we caught it Friday night on Broadway. THANKFULLY, we loved it!

Sure, the first act starts off very slowly, but once the stakes raise and the emotions intensify, it quickly became a very gripping show! And the music! Wow! Some of Sondheim's best work!

I'm Still Here, Broadway Baby, and In Buddy's Eyes - to name a few!

And, WOW, did this production feature an all-star cast! Bernadette Peters was fabulous! That voice is like honey! And STILL flawless! She told us backstage she doesn't smoke or even drink - and you could tell! She really protects her precious instrument and her voice is still something to be experienced!

Elaine Paige was fabulous, but her role is very supporting.

The real revelation in this production was Jan Maxwell. We'd never seen her in anything before and weren't familiar with her, but we are now obsessed! Wow! Wow! Wow! She was soooooooo good!

Really enjoyed Follies!

We will begin the recap of Episode 6 of Survivor: South Pacific at Savaii Beach on Night 14 after Tribal Council. Ozzy is upset that his alliance betrayed him, booting Elyse. Actually, only one of his allies, Jim, voted her off. Dawn and Cochran supplied the rest of the votes. Keith and Whitney took the chickens way out and cast their votes for Dawn instead of Cochran, which is whom Ozzy and Elyse had targeted. Ozzy let it be known that he now considers himself a free agent, playing only for himself. He also let everybody know that he has the hidden immunity idol. If that were not enough, he also reminded all that there is always Redemption Island, and since he is very good at challenges, there is high probability that he would return to the game. After a pretty bizzy weekend, I decided to chill out at home and keep things nice and quiet … so it was the perfect time to rock out to the 3 best Nine Inch Nails albums of all time. I’ve been fortunate to find vinyl copies of The Downward Spiral, The Fragile and Year Zero and last night was my time to listen to them all in full, in sequence.

Without a doubt, NIN is my all time fave band of all time. Listening to these masterpiece albums on vinyl just reminded me of the genius of Nine Inch Nails. I have never listened to these albums in order on vinyl before and it was truly fantastic. We are so lucky to have NIN music … and luckier still that Trent Reznor continues to make new music. The Year Zero vinyl is really freakin’ cool … the B side of the second LP is etched with a really cool design. There is no music on this side, just the cool etching. i’m not sure how your Monday night turned out but mine was really fun. If you get the chance, I highly recommend that you listen to NIN on vinyl … it will take your love of the music to a whole other level.

As many as 200 gay men may have been arrested in the poorly decorated small middle-eastern island country of Bahrain for attending a GAY WEDDING!!!!

The men, mostly from Bahrain and Gulf countries, were arrested Thursday on the charge of “conduct against public morals.”

“According to police sources some of the men were allegedly drunk, and others were described as wearing women’s clothing and make up. The police are now said to be checking if any have a history of ‘debauchery or sodomy."

A Bahrain city official is calling for tighter scrutiny of celebration venues. The councilor claims the men had tricked the venue’s manager into believing they were holding a birthday party, adding:

"They should be careful and investigate before allowing such events to happen and ruin the country's reputation."

Right?

I mean, who would want live or even visit a country with a reputation of letting it's people celebrate love???

Oh…. that's right, anyone with a soul!!!!
