Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s Son Christopher In Surfing Accident

Maria and Arnold are making headlines again today but this time it is not about their nasty divorce. Unfortunately it has to do with their son Christopher who was involved in a surfing accident. According to People.com 13-year old Christopher Schwarzenegger is in serious condition thanks to a boogie boarding accident. His injuries sustained during the incident include a collapsed lung, a couple of broken ribs and some broken bones. If it sounds serious, well it is, the young teen is currently in the ICU where he has been since Sunday when the accident occurred. It is further being reported that Maria was with her son on the beach when the accident happened. Details of what actually caused the accident have not been released yet, all we know is that something went very very wrong, obviously. Christopher’s siblings Patrick and Katherine both sent out Tweets today updating followers on the younger Schwarzenegger’s condition. They each thanked everyone for their well wishes and indicated that their brother is strong and getting better. Here is hoping that he has a super fast and speedy recovery. Try not to lose your minds, Beliebers … I know the sight of your idol shirtless is enough to drive some of you crazy. I think these photos are just hilar … I mean, yes, we all look like this when we wake up (tho some of us do have post-pubescent body hair) but it’s kinda funny to see a wee popstar like Justin Bieber lookin’ so fresh-faced first thing in the morning. I’d be very curious to know if Biebs plans on having his girlfriend Selena Gomez over for a sleep over. I guess we’ll have to wait and see … tho, the sight of both Justin and Selena first thing in the morning might be much too much to see. HMMM.

First Look: The First Photos From Madonna’s Film ‘W.E.’ Hit The Internets

As I mentioned earlier, David and I met up with a group of friends yesterday to see a new film that you may not have heard about titled Another Earth. For the past week or so, David has been trying to get me to see this film but because I hadn’t heard a thing about it (at all), I wasn’t all that excited to see it. To be honest, I got talked into seeing this movie yesterday … and boy, am I glad that I went. I’m rarely 100% impressed with movies but I have to say … this one comes close. Another Earth is truly an inventive film that is well written, well acted and not at all what you might expect.

Briefly, Another Earth tells the tale of the strange occurrence of a duplicate planet Earth showing up in our orbit and the circumstances that grow out of that phenomenon. You might think this is a sci fi film or that the focal point of the story would revolve around this Earth 2 … but no. The main focus of the film is about a young girl who accidentally (while drunk driving) ruins a man’s life by killing his family and the pain she goes thru trying to right the wrong. When I tell you that the story in Another Earth is compelling, I am not kidding … it’s a gripping and sad tale that gets really tragic. The lead actress Brit Marling (who also co-wrote the script) and lead actor William Mapother (Tom Cruise‘s cousin) are nothing short of spectacular in this film. The complicated way their lives intertwine as the story unfolds is just … beautiful. While I personally feel there are minor plot points that are problematic, I really wouldn’t say there is anything wrong with this film. Another Earth surprised and impressed the HELL out of me. The indie film is in limited release so I’m hoping it will do well enough to open wide in more markets. Trust me, this is a great film that you will be very surprised by. I really, really loved it.

Soap Dish: Dirty Soap Reality TV Show

Did you hear the fabulous news that there is finally going to be a reality TV show about soap operas? Yes in deedy my friends soap fans will an intimate look at the lives of six soap opera actors/actresses, woohoo! Dirty Soap, great title I think, comes to us from Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, which is awesome. The lowdown on the show is that it will follow the lives of John-Paul Lavoisier, Farah Fath, Galen Gering, Nadia Bjorlin, Kelly Monaco and Kirsten Storms. If you are a true soap opera fan you will clearly know these people and what shows they are on. The show is an hour long and will have eight episodes, sweet! I am so freaking excited for this show. I can’t believe that a show like this hasn’t been done before but you know what it is perfect timing. Everyone knows the sad sad state that the soap opera industry is in right now I think this show is just the thing to get people excited about it. I mean it could very well bring new fans to daytime which is a win win. Me personally I just can’t wait to see the personal lives [...]
