GLAAD and Facebook have joined forces in an effort to decrease hate and anti-gay bullying on the Internet.

Today, Facebook announced that they will be seriously stepping up their game when it comes to responding to hateful speech, which violates their terms of service and needs to be removed.

Public Policy Communications Manager for Facebook, Andrew Noyes, sent out an email today, explaining how they plan to "…work closely with GLAAD and other LGBT organizations in the near future."

We couldn't be more pleased to hear that Facebook is on board. This is really important, and we're glad that efforts are being made to counter anti-gay bullying over the Internet.

In advance of the world premiere of his new slasher flick "Savage County" on MTV2 this Thursday, October 7, at 11 p.m. (10 p.m. Central), director David Harris has been guest-blogging on MTV News to share some thoughts on making the film. He talked about marketing the movie in yesterday's post, and today he offers up some horror-movie-making tips. Come back tomorrow for his third and final blog.

I want to make another movie for all kinds of reasons: It's my dream to be a director... Maybe I'll make money at it someday... I want to have one of those chairs with my name on the back... But, more than anything, I want to make another movie because I learned so much the first time around that it seems like a waste not to use that knowledge.

Making movies is now what having a band used to be. A lot of people do it, and with digital cameras everywhere, it's an accessible way to express yourself. Everybody from Hitchcock to Tarantino has excellent advice on the creative process that's only a Google search away. There's nothing I can impart about the art of filmmaking that comes close to them, BUT I'm pretty sure I have some practical advice on making your first horror movie that they couldn't give you.

Here are my top five tips:

1. Pack a Flashlight

Scouting locations for a horror movie is very much like being in a horror movie. Everyone who knows of a scary, horrible place will suggest you visit -- whether it fits your movie or not. Scouting "Savage County," we found ourselves knee-deep in water in an abandoned basement autopsy room/morgue/body incinerator. Did we bring a flashlight? Nope. We used the flash on a digital camera to light up the room every couple of feet. It was straight out of "Quarantine." Flashlights are cheap; we were dumb.

2. Buy Waders

These are knee-high thick rubber boots -- you can buy heavy-duty hunting versions at Walmart. I never saw leeches before scouting Savage County. Besides, this will come in handy when you turn over a board and reveal the guy pictured to the right.

3. More Blood! More Dirt!

Your cast arrives in the morning. They're good-looking, fresh-faced, ready to work... You put a little blood on them and they look terrible, but not horror-movie terrible. The actors may look at you pleadingly ("Please, don't put any more sticky crap on me!"). Ignore them.

4. Sweat the Small Stuff

We had plenty of days when someone could have gotten killed if something big went wrong. But the one day that actually went to hell (our first day -- yay!) there were about a dozen small things going wrong. Questions to ask: Was the sound guy in the bathroom when the van left for set? Did the grips bring the keys to their truck? Does the production assistant really know how to drive a van? If not, you might find yourself without a sound guy, or lights, with a van in a pond blocking your access to set. Run through checklists like you've got OCD... or hire someone with actual OCD.

5. Shoot Where They're Excited to Have You

I think it's still statistically most likely that if you're reading this, you don't live in a "production hub." I live in L.A. now, and there are a ton of advantages to making movies here, but one big disadvantage is that if you're just starting out, the world isn't lining up to help you out. When we decided to shoot "Savage County" in Memphis, I didn't know how lucky we'd be. The town isn't a stranger to production ("Hustle & Flow," "The Client" and "Walk the Line" were filmed there), but there are enough creative, talented people there who aren't often asked to contribute to a film... but when they are asked, they're excited to help (guys like the REAL Crittenden County Fire Department, who made the shirts pictured for the movie so they'd be authentic). Wherever that excitement comes from, wherever you can find that support -- that's where you should make your movie. It's easy to take that support for granted, but it could be the thing that makes your first film possible.

Britney finally heeded his warnings yesterday, but broke a fashion rule by wearing a very visible hot pink and black bra under a strapless dress.

Visible bra straps are almost as much of a faux pas as no bra at all, and ruined what would have been an otherwise stylish warm-weather outfit of a sundress and platform wedges.

Her situation was not helped by her tangled hair, a result of her terrible hair extensions.

The difference between her natural and fake hair was obvious as the 28-year-old went shopping and stopped by Starbucks in Calabasas, California with her bodyguards.

When she twisted her long mane up into a casual bun, the amateur extensions were clearly visible.

Her style crimes come as her hugely successful cameo episode of the hit show Glee was blasted by do-good groups.

The Parents Television Council (PTC) deemed the episode the Worst TV Show of the Week due to what they described as the broadcast’s ‘explicit sexual content’.

A message posted on the organization’s website denounced the episode’s ‘skimpy outfits’ and ‘sultry grinds’ during her hit song I’m A Slave 4 U.

The episode, which earned the show its highest ratings ever with 13.3million viewers, featured brief appearances by the singer as a fantasy for the McKinley High Glee club singers who hallucinated about her while under anaesthesia at the dentist – played by John Stamos.

The episode – titled Britney/Brittany also featured numbers by cast member Brittany – played by former Beyonce back-up dancer Heather Morris – dressed in some of Britney’s raunchier outfits.

In the re-creation for the 2001 Madonna duet Me Against The Music, the PTC said the interpretation included ‘plenty of girl-girl bumping and grinding’.

It was not only the content, but Britney’s involvement in the first place, which drew criticism from the PTC, who found Britney inappropriate as a role model for the show’s young viewers.

‘A scary thought considering that the mostly young teen audience basically witnessed an endorsement of narcotics abuse, public masturbation, and school-sanctioned burlesque. But perhaps most troubling is the deification of a troubled pop star into a symbol of empowerment and self-esteem.

‘Considering her stints in rehab, her very public breakdowns, and her questionable parenting skills, there is absolutely no way Spears should be considered a role model.’

UPDATE: As of 10/13/2010 Cedillo has partially recovered. Sadly, the entire left side of her body remains paralyzed. Also, producers have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Indiana Occupation Safety and Health Administration.

This story is awful. A young lady who was brought on as an extra during the filming of the epic blockbuster action film is hanging on by a thread this evening. The description of the accident given by another extra is pretty graphic:

“(Cedillo’s) vehicle was being towed by another vehicle…The cable between the two vehicles broke. It whipped around and sliced through the woman’s car and sliced through her skull, apparently.”

Let’s hope she can survive this incident, and hold on to her dream of becoming an actress one day.

His recent popularity on twitter shows quite a following, and his recently created Facebook page received over 5,000 fans in five minutes!

If you remember, last year Twitter had to adjust their algorithm because Justin Bieber was a constant trending topic. Now it only picks up spikes in topics. Craziness.

The gorgeous gal in the photo above and the actor were an item for 2 years and seem to have had a bad breakup. Everyone copes with losing a loved one in different ways, and it looks like clubbing is this 22 year old woman’s solution. How is Micah coping?

Well we don’t know too many details about what went wrong. Did someone cheat? Was it mutual? Well either way to make her feel better, Rumer Willis parties! Vegas was apparently a great trip as she was even seen flirting with some close guy friends! Can you picture that?!

This is all very fresh, and I am sure very soon we will hear what really happened. All we know know is what one source said:

“They decided it wasn’t working. They’re moving on.”

Therefore to get over the bad breakup a friend told Life & Style magazine how she dealt with the pain.

“She is very upset. She went to Las Vegas this past weekend with a few friends to try to cheer up and have fun, but she’s very sensitive about the break-up.”

They were such a good looking couple and seemed to be very happy. They even had engagement rumors circulating back in the spring, so it was definitely a bona fide Hollywood romance! However, something was not working with the gorgeous actor/model and Bruce & Demi Moore’s daughter seems quite upset.
