Zacquisha Parties With Some Lucky Girl!

Why are you trying to break our hearts, Zacquisha??
We're just going to blame it on the alcohol.
A PerezHilton.com reader spotted Zac partying and giving googly eyes to some random girl at a friend's apartment in El Lay earlier this week.
Holding a can of Tecate, Zac seems REALLY into her. Check out some additional pics [...]

Wow! Looks as though someone took pity on Megan Fox's career - sort of!

Her latest flop film, Passion Pay, was announced to be going directly to DVD on May 24th, but we've just got reports that it will be getting a small theatrical release on May 6th in New York and Los Angeles.

Still - ouch! We bet someone's wishing that she was walking the red carpet at the premiere of Transformers: Dark of the Moon in a few months!

Better luck next time, gurl!

A Note on Songwriting Contests

If you're a group of kids and you don't have tons of dough, but you want to start a rockabilly band, you'll probably run into the self-appointed "authentic-look" police sooner or later. Don't let them stop you. Pick up the instruments you have and crash into those first strains of a great rockabilly tune. If they can't see past your look to listen to and enjoy the music, it's their loss... not yours!

Four Reasons Why Les Paul Guitars Really Rock

The Well-Tempered Clavier is generally referred to as the pianists' "Old Testament of Western music", also in Barenboim's fingers it definitely has an "Old World" condition to it. Seen in its entirety, the performance brings to mind Edwin Fischer's recording from the thirties: great pianism, frequently elegant playing, notable by means of liberal use of the pedals. This is, needless to say, planets independent of the incisive, razor-sharp resolution that Glenn Gould as well as Mehmet Okonsar brought to these works.

zsa-zsa-gabor-selling-furs.jpg

So sad.

As things are getting decidedly worse for Zsa Zsa Gabor, her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, has been looking for ways to pay for the massive amount of medical bills that have accumulated over the past year. He's recently confessed to sources that he plans on selling some of Zsa Zsa's assets to help reduce their debt, specifically her opulent collection of fur coats.

Prince Frederic reveals that the furs are valued at over $600,000 and he'll be placing the items up for bid on his website in the coming days. He realizes that there are many animal lovers out there who will find this distasteful, but it is a measure he feels needs to be taken. He explains:

"Why should I pay $1200 a year? The furs don't get better with age and I need lots of money to pay bills so I'm going to sell them. I'm sure the animal lovers will be upset by this sale but what am I going to do with them? Zsa Zsa is an animal lover too so I was surprised she even bought the coats. She will never wear them again. The doctor says she will never get out of bed so I want the coats out of our life."

It's a hard situation and we totally sympathize.

Please send our best to her, Frederic. We wish her well.

Last month, an Andy Warhol portrait of Mao Zedong from late actor Dennis Hopper's collection sold for $302,500.

paris-hiltons-stolen-birthday-cake-makers-respond-to-controversy

Well, they're taking the news pretty well!

In light of the news that Paris Hilton's $3,200 birthday cake was stolen by a drunken party crasher, the company that baked it, Lucid Absinthe, has issued the following statement:

“It is very unfortunate that someone stole the cake from Paris’s birthday party. We had the cake designed especially for Paris with Lucid in the batter and a beautiful representation of Lucid's artwork on it, which she had requested to meet the Moulin Rouge theme of the party. We’re happy that Paris and her guests were able to enjoy a night of Lucid cocktails, including the Paris Lemonade / Paris frozen Lucid Sorbet – and only wish that the guests could have tried her delicious cake. As for Paz, feel free to connect with us on the Lucid Absinthe Facebook page, where we would love to hear your side of the story and thoughts on the cake!”

Wowza! Sounds like they're just more concerned about getting feedback about how it tasted!

Ha! We still don't condone what happened, but at least there aren't too many hard feelings - at least on their end!

Thoughts??

What do YOU think about Britney's new music video for Hold It Against Me??

It sucks! (19%)

I'm disappointed with it, [...]

We don't hate it, but….

Wasn't she supposed to be dancing in this video????

Like, REALLY dancing????

Where is it????

We blame a lot of it on the editing, but…. it was probably edited like that on purpose, to mask the fact that something happened, like we've all suspected, and our beloved Brit Brit can't dance like she used to.

This video will also do nothing to squash those rumors that a dance double was used for some bits, like the final setup with the black dress.

Britney looks good in the video, but it's not what we were expecting. It's not what we were told we were gonna get!

If she spent weeks and weeks rehearsing choreography, as her reps say she did, we wanted to see that!!!!

Plus, the concept could have been stronger. Really, a soundstage???? Also, she's done the meta/reflection/camera/paparazzi/fame thing before!

Sigh.

We wanted to love it! But at least we don't hate it!

What do U think????

P.S. We enjoyed the fight scene in the video, like the one in Mariah's Heartbreaker where she fights herself. And the day glo paint, like in Willow Smith's Whip My Hair video was cute too! And, of course, the lips, like in Rocky Horror!

Paying homage to other artists is very in right now!

P.P.S. We aren't hating. We LOVED the Womanizer and Circus video! (If You Seek Amy and 3 were disasters, though.)

Wedding Disc Jockeys: How To Select The Right One

I can't remember if it was "Time Has Come" or the whole "Taking The World By Storm" album that was originally entitled "Pictures". Such details get lost or change over time and it usually takes some prompt or other to jog the memory and even then, such memories are prone to inaccuracy or intentional distortion.

However, there are two better options for you, you can either rent a piano or just buy a used one.

Yesterday was our good friend Josh’s birthday so David and I were happy to attend the fabulous dinner birthday party that his fiancee Emma hosted at Cube last night. Em secured a private room for us to celebrate in for the evening and a fantastic time was had by all.

It turns out that Emma is really good friends with actress Amy Acker — one of my fave Buffyverse actors EVER — so I finally got to meet her last night. She is absolutely as sweet and darling as you would guess. But, the man of the hour was our boy Josh and I’m pretty sure he had a great time celebrating with all of his friends:

We had a blast.

Tonight, David and I will be hanging out with Josh and Emma again for a double date showing of the classic 80s film Sixteen Candles ;) Not a bad way to spend a Sunday night, is it?
