Tony Gilroy Confirms Our Fears: Matt Damon Won't Be In 'The Bourne Legacy'

When Tony Gilroy was confirmed as director of "The Bourne Legacy" last week, there was renewed hope that Matt Damon might, just might, return for a fourth go-around as Jason Bourne. After all, if Damon absolutely had to team with a director besides Paul Greengrass on a new "Bourne" film, who better than the man [...]

When David Gordon Green helmed the stoner black comedy "Pineapple Express" in 2008, it was kind of a drastic departure for a man known for serious drams such as "All the Real Girls" and "Snow Angels." But the violent, hilarious Seth Rogen-James Franco buddy flick was a huge hit, and one that has had fans screaming for a sequel for the past two years.

MTV News caught up with Gordon Green at New York Comic Con, and the friendly filmmaker was kind enough to share his thoughts on the potential plots of "Pineapple Express 2."

"The most interesting spin is to go in a 'Scarface' direction," Gordon Green chuckled. "You could get me back in the ring with [Seth Rogen and James Franco] any day of the week. I want to see them in the Miami coke scene, I think... or maybe take it in the 'Clear and Present Danger' direction and go to South America. You know, there's a few avenues that are maybe a little bit worthy of more than a barroom napkin scribble of an idea."

When might we see one of these fantastic ideas come to fruition on the big screen? "The reality is that everybody's got a lot of stuff going on right now," Gordon Green admitted. "We all love each other and hope to work together. Maybe there's a fit -- the right time and place."

Until that happens, Gordon Green is keeping his dance card full: He's currently shooting "The Sitter" -- a kind of modern update of "Adventures in Babbysitting" starring Jonah Hill in the Elizabeth Shue role -- and is already busy promoting "Your Highness," a raunchy medieval comedy starring Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel that hits theaters April 11, 2011, and is rumored to give audiences what is (hopefully) their first-ever peek at minotaur genitals.

Would you like "Pineapple Express 2" to be more of a "Scarface" or a "Clear and Present Danger"? Hit the comments with your thoughts!

We can kind of see the resemblance!

Al Pacino will be portraying Phil Spector in an upcoming HBO film, written and directed by David Mamet.

The film is still in early development so it has yet to be confirmed whether or not it will cover Spector's murder trial and sentencing to 19 years to life.

We hope it does though, because we'd love to see Pacino wear those crazy wigs.

What do U think of the casting choice?

How To Interpret A Work Of Art

It takes reading ten to fifteen plays to find one script that will work for tournaments and about two to six hours to cut the text to fit the time frame. Using some basic techniques will help that process, but contrary to popular belief, scripts do not win, students themselves win. It's up to the competitor to breathe life into the words that an author has painstakingly composed and published. As and actor your soul must be big enough to play any part and make it real and accessible to an audience.
